We moved to Southern Maryland in Fall 2002 after purchasing an "established" 4 bedroom house on 4 acres of land. It made sense at the time. Looking back on the decision, I realize now that I must have been suffering from some sort of pregnancy-induced psychosis that led me to believe that I could deal with a house twice as large and property exponentially larger than our townhouse. I miss that townhouse...

Now that I'm settled in and am sl-o-o-o-w-ly undoing the bizarre things done to the house by the previous owners, from time to time I'll post new pictures of the State of Being at Cheezwerks HQ.
Partial view of the backyard. Yep, that is a 250-gallon propane tank right smack in the middle. It is now used primarily as a cat perch.

The guest bedroom is more or less a replica of the guest bedroom in my townhouse. What can I say, we had a full can of paint leftover and moved it with us to So. MD.
The nursery is decorated in a stars and moons theme with a lot of blue, yellow and white. This room adjoins to the master bedroom, which is extremely convenient when Sophie has restless nights. (Fortunately, those are few and far between.) The changing table was made by my father and is sturdy enough to withstand tornado.
