Alternately, "Mandy" if you've known me since the beginning of time, "Manda" if you're a [relatively] new friend, and "Lynn" if you're my brother. No one can explain that last one. I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, earned a BA and MA in College Park, Maryland, lived in Howard County, Maryland for six years, and moved to rural Southern Maryland in 2002. I still question that last move, especially when I'm stuck driving behind a trailer carrying a gutted deer. It's not as uncommon an occurrence as you might think. I've been around the block once or twice, and I'm older and wiser now. Well, maybe I'm just older. At any rate, the life I've lived thus far includes the standard highs and lows, success and failure, better and worse, and above all, the ability to learn from my mistakes and improve the status quo. I believe I've learned just as much from the bad examples as I have from the people whom I consider role models. I'd like to think that I'm a better mother, employee, friend, artist and human because of this. Only time will tell... In my unplugged life, I can be found catdancing with my daughter, playing the world's longest ongoing game of fetch with my poodle, creating something and/or planning the next big thing.
