Kid-Speak, Winter 2006/2007 Edition

"Ohhh, Mommy! Your boobies will look SO great in that dress!"---Sophie, aged 3 years 10 months, expressing hearty approval of the dress Mommy selected for her company's holiday party.

"How was work today, Mom? Get much blogging done?"---Sophie, aged 3 years 11 months, demonstrating a whip smart grasp of the concept of sarcasm.

"Mom, those are some really cute flamingos ya got on your PJs. And Daddy, your slippers are like...like...black magic markers!"---Sophie, aged 4 years, under the false impression that delivering a couple of off-the-cuff compliments would get her out of a time-out.

"So...are you guys my servants?"---Sophie, aged 4 years, addressing HER PARENTS.

Sarcasm has not developed yet, but we have flashes of 'are you my servants?'

'Mommy, come here. Sit down. No, sit down here. Put it down.' We have worked the Please word in there the majority of the time, but that doesn't diminish frequency.
